I would like to thank everyone who supported me and those who helped get the campaign to the point where we won the primary. I could not have done this without you.

Entering this race has always been about beating Pete Ricketts. During my time as Executive Director of NAPE/AFSCME Local 61 the state employees Union, I had well documented battles with the Ricketts administration on many fronts. These include Corrections, Youth Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers, Veterans Homes, and most other state departments. 

In 2017 I retired from NAPE with serious health issues. During a recent follow up visit doctors determined my condition has worsened.

Once again for me this has always been about defeating Pete Ricketts, and with my worsening condition, I know I cannot put in the effort this race requires.. I will be remaining on the ballot, but I am now urging all who supported me to now support Dan Osborn. 

Dan is the only candidate in this race whose positions have anything in common with the Legal Marijuana Now Party platform. Dan Osborn supports protecting medical marijuana here in Nebraska, rescheduling marijuana at the federal level, increasing the production of industrial hemp, and continuing research into the potential benefits of marijuana for our veterans and the elderly. Pete Ricketts, on the other hand, has gone so far as to say that marijuana will kill your kids.

For those who believe in the cause of the Legal Marijuana Now Party, the choice in this election could not be clearer. I am proud to support Dan Osborn and encourage everyone who supported my campaign to join me.

Dan has a real chance to beat Pete Ricketts in November if we all get behind him.
